Button Hole Journals w/ Kat Cast
Come learn this beginner-friendly bookbinding technique. Participants will be guided through this workshop by book artist Kat Castaneda. Create a journal from start to finish, including crafting a cover from cardstock, folding and cutting paper to make signatures, and binding the book by hand. Everyone will go home with a unique handmade book that they can proudly say they made themselves.
Button Hole binding is an open-spine style bind, presenting artists with the opportunity for peek-a-boo details that can be seen when the cover is closed. This skill is a great beginner technique to help build skills that can be applied ot more complex bindings.
Supplies are included for this class; just come and be creative.
