Submissions on hiatus for 2025.
Tuleburg Press is proud to serve Stockton and San Joaquin County as the only non-profit book arts center and publishing house from here to San Francisco.
Every year during the months of September and October, we open our doors to the public to submit their manuscripts to us for the opportunity to get their title published at no cost to them. Unfortunately, this year, we are unable to take on another large publishing project.
Throughout 2025, we have been lucky to publish Billie Hansen-Dupree’s debut novel Still Kickin’, order a second printing of Joseph Maes’ My Spiritual Walk as a Wolfhound: a Grunt in Vietnam, publish our second-ever poetry anthology featuring the work of over 40 local poets, and hold our second annual ChapLip Library Poetry Contest, giving six authors the chance to have their work in print.
Our goal is to always be of service to the literary arts in our area, and stand as an example of opportunity to the community that surrounds us. While we are disappointed that our annual local publication has been closed this year, we are always looking forward to the next big project.
We encourage any hopeful authors to keep looking to us for more publishing contests and calls for submission in the future.

Tuleburg Press accepts submissions from authors of both fiction and non-fiction work. Please follow the guidelines below and email your submission to tuleburgpress@gmail.com.
The specific purpose of Tuleburg Press is to foster literacy in our community by identifying, publishing , and/or mentoring emerging, talented, local writers who write about how life in the Central Valley was, is, and could be.
We will publish a limited number of physical books or electronic books of literary and educational merit, selected by a volunteer panel of academic judges who represent the area’s diversity. Tuleburg Press supports work that reflects the peoples and issues of the Stockton/San Joaquin area that may not draw the attention of mainstream publishers.
Tuleburg Press is especially interested in artistic expression from among our many and varied ethnic, LGBTQIA+, and non-English speaking communities.
