Letter Press with Paula Sheil
December 3 @ 1:00 pm - December 7 @ 5:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until December 7, 2024
Learn the art of letterpress printing with San Francisco Center for the Book certified teacher, Paula Sheil. Over the course of 5 days, you will learn the history of the art, how to set type, and how to create your own letterpress art pieces.
We will be working on 4×6 or 5×8 Kelsey printing presses, a table-top hydraulic press, a treadle-powered gliding platen press, and a motorized Chandler and Price like shown on the flyer. Participants will have the opportunity to print on a variety of materials including bookmarks, cards, posters, and poetry broadsides.
The Write Place is the only place you can find these services in the Central Valley. See you there!
